The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) is designed to help medically fragile children receive the care they need at home. To be eligible, your child must meet certain criteria. General Eligibility Requirements

Age

The child must be under 21 years of age.

Residency

The child must be a resident of the state of Georgia.

Medicaid Eligibility

The child must be eligible for Georgia Medicaid.

Medical Necessity

The child must have a medical condition that requires skilled nursing care or personal care support in the home.

Common Qualifying Conditions

Many different medical conditions can qualify a child for GAPP. Some of the most common include:
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Spina Bifida
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Seizure Disorders
  • Congenital Heart Defects
  • Respiratory Conditions (requiring trach/vent)
  • Genetic Disorders
  • Developmental Disabilities
This is not an exhaustive list. If your child has a medical condition that requires in-home care, they may be eligible for GAPP.
