To be eligible for the Parent Caregiver Program, your child must first be enrolled in the GAPP program. Once enrolled, parents, grandparents, or legal guardians can apply to become a paid caregiver. You do not need to be a licensed nurse or have any prior healthcare experience.
Parent caregivers are typically paid between $10 and $17 per hour, depending on the level of care required. The number of hours you can be paid for is determined by your child’s care plan, which can be up to 42 hours per week.
